State of Being : Looking forward to Istanbul/Ankara
Left for the WW Meeting Conference via Turkish Airline on Biz Class. Watched the following 3 inflight movies during the 12-hr flight to Istanbul.
John Tucker Must Die is a high school comedy film about a trio of girls who plot to break the heart of a manipulative basketball star (played by the teen gardener Jesse Metcalfe in Desperate Housewives) after they learn he has been secretly dating all three of them.
There are way better teen movies that borders on similar themes. Nothing remotely dark or edgy about this film at all.
Selected to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest next. "Messy" storyline which certainly does not live up to its earlier prequel Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
IMHO, this 2006 pirate adventure film is two hours and 20 minutes too lenghty for my liking. Kept thinking when would the movie end while I was watching it! =P
Last on the list went for some "kiddish" animation instead - Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. The storyline was generally expected as the film borrows its theme from The Prince and the Pauper.
Overall, would have luv the director to animate Oldie also since the dog cast in the show simply does not resembles Oldie one bit.
