All Sold Out?!
State of Being : Frustrated :X
After 3 weeks of ICT, had initially planned on rewarding myself and catching up with "lost" time by watching the Transfomers movie over the weekend at VivoCity. Alas, my plan was thwarted by overwhelming business at the cinemas i.e. all the available show times for the movie were sold out! At VivoCity, even the midnight time slot was selling fast, even though I had no intention on catching the midnight movie.
Realising that Orchard Cineplex had more showings for the movie, we proceeded there in the hope of getting the 920pm tickets. Much to our dismay, it was also sold out, along with the 955pm and 1030pm slots and the next available timing was after midnight. Out of "desperation", we thought we will settle for either (1) the Transformers movie at other cinemas or (2) another show like Harry Potter, but sadly all the tickets were sold out as well at The Cathay and even Cathay AMK Hub. By then, we had dropped the idea of the movie and simply went for a dinner instead.

It's really amazing that despite the hefty price of a weekend movie ticket (at $9.50 each), movie-goers are still packing the cinemas! Is the economy that good that people are spending freely on such luxuries or is there simply nothing to do in Singapore on a weekend night except for movie watching?? I can only reckon it's a combination of both... *sigh*
