SuperStars Exhibition

State of Being : Seeing (Asian) Stars

Longing to "see" some Asian SuperStars? Then head on down to the National Museum of Singapore to catch the much publicised Leslie Kee's SuperStars Exhibition (27 Apr - 4 May). Free admission.

Despite the raving reviews for our local renowned photographer Leslie's SuperStars project, it is a pity that the MDA approved only about 200 out of the 400++ pool of photos and left out most of the controversial pictures from the exhibition. We are offered instead photos of Singapore local artists like Zoe Tay, Adam Chen, David Gan *puke*, etc to make up the number. *sigh*

Clearly, the Singapore censorship is still too conservative where nudity is involved, amid its proclaim for trying to grow and nurture the art circle here. In fact, the MDA has even gone to the extent in banning the SuperStars charity book in Singapore, despite its hefty price of US$300, thinking that this is something that is going to corrupt Singapore youth in the long run! I rest my case...

p.s. be sure to also check out other exhibits at the museum like the
"Animated Films from Germany Exhibition"
as well as the
"
Images from the Arab World Exhibition"

Chillout

State of Being : Lil' Tipsy (at the end of the day...)

The Singapore Marketing team entertained a fellow colleague IH from Zurich who was here for a series of meetings this week. For a few of them, they were busy the entire week keeping IH accompanied. For myself, I only avail myself for the Thur dinner @ Café del Mar in Sentosa.

As expected, there weren't much of a crowd that evening as it was a weekday afterall. Below are some pictures taken with my new N95 at the cafe bar. Overall, nice ambience for a chillout session even though getting there may be deemed too much of a hassle for some.

p.s. for those who is keen to get a copy of the Café del Mar series CD exclusively at the bar, the retail section will only be opened later this year in Jun

Lucky N* 8

State of Being : Beaming =)

Model 1-7 : Main Phone
Model A & B : Spare Phone

Upgraded my mobile to the latest model again over the weekend. In fact, this is my 8th phone (excluding the ones I used as spare ones during ICT) over a period of 9 years. Started off with a monoblock Nokia 3210 during my uni days and slowly progressed to the recent slide model N80.
So what's my lucky no. 8 after the N80?

Well, it's none other than Nokia's latest smartphone addition.. Behold the N95 with GPRS capabilities and a 5 Mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics!! :)

Featured Song In My iPod _04.07

State of Being : Under my umbrella, ella, ella, ey, ey, ey

Umbrella
Rihanna ft Jay-Z
Good Girl Gone Bad
R&B

Video Link / Video Link (Remix)

Following hot on the heels of her last successful hit ballad - "Unfaithful" comes yet another R&B classic - "Umbrella", the first single from Rihanna's upcoming 3rd album "Good Girl Gone Bad".

Noted for its change of pace, having more of a R&B and Rock influence and sound, unlike her previous dance pop offerings - "SOS" & "Pon De Replay", "Umbrella" already looks set to blaze its way up the Billboard Top 10 Chart! No doubt this song will definitely be another major club hit when remixed for the dancefloor!

What is it?

State of Being : Grinning

QUESTION:

What is usually grayish white in colour, wears a crown, has a short neck & 4 roots for support and can brighten up an entire room?

ANSWER:

A table lamp in the shape of a molar tooth!

Bought over last weekday for simply S$25, the tooth lamp is now 'rooted' on top of a display shelf, providing illumination for my humble room. ;)
