State of Being : Pleased (with the bargains)
Went to the 3rd Annual Charity "Flea Market" organised by the housekeeping dept over last Thur & Fri (11-12 Oct). Didn't know there was such an event until now. Items that were on "lelong" include books/novels at merely $1 each, hp/laptop chargers at $2-3, soft toys for $1-3, sneakers (used? *yewk*), clothes, irons, flasks, and more. These items were either inventories that have been replaced by the hotel, items that were left behind by hotel guests, or items donated by hotel staffs themselves.
Luckily we arrived early at 1030am on Thur and managed to scout for pretty good bargains. My colleagues D & R were extremely pleased with getting a 2nd-hand hair straightener each for just $3!! Other items purchased by my colleagues include belts, handbags, universal adapters, camera tripod stand, toiletries kits, hangers and pots. As for me, I only spent a total of $6 to get 6 items, namely
