Yes, today was the last day for JM and as per 'tradition' we treated him to a farewell lunch and got him a farewell gift - a Tommy Hilfiger sweater. Since the day I joined this company, we already had so many farewells that I've lost count with the number of 'fallen comrades' and have since grown accustomed to familiar faces leaving us. One thing is for sure, the cost for the farewells shared amongst fewer people, especially in the RED office are definitely getting more costly!

랄랄라, It’s Love! (Lalala, It's Love!) - The Melody
Album: 커피프린스 1호점 (Coffee Prince); Genre: Soundtrack










Taken off the soundtrack of the "Coffee Prince", I never thought that I would actually be playing this song over and over again in my ipod. But I guess given the popularity of MBC 17-parter Korean drama "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" or simply titled as "Coffee Prince", that is currently airing 5 days a week on Channel U, it is inevitable that this bouncy opening theme "랄랄라, It’s Love!"
(Lalala, It's Love!) eventually gets stuck in my head!

Starring popular actress Yoon Eun Hye & Gong Yoo, there are in fact many memorable scenes from the show which could be relived with the songs compiled on this soundtrack. Compiled mostly of soothing and calming music, I think the soundtrack is best suited for a spin on a sunny day. In addition to The Melody's "랄랄라, It’s Love!" (Lalala, It's Love!), other recommended tracks include As One's "White Love Story", The Melody's "Polly" and the ending theme Tearliner's "고고찬!!" (Go Go Chan!!)

Slowly but Surely

State of Being : It's taking shape!

Just been to the new flat. The renovation works is 60% close to completion. What's with the new flat built by HDB anyway? The flats are no longer comparable in terms of size to the ones built 10-20 years ago.

Won't deny I'm actually not looking forward to shifting cos my new room seems much smaller than the current one. Arghhhh I'm already feeling claustrophobic!!! :(

Anw I'll be giving an update (whenever possible) on the status of my new room. Here's what has been completed so far as at 20 Jan.

State of Being : It's time to Pack!

It's official. It's finalised. It's confirmed!

After having stayed here for one-fifith of a decade, sad that we'll be shifting to a new house in two months time.

Guess it's time to start packing and clearing stuffs liao. *Hiaz*

Didn't know I have so much "unwanted" stuffs until I started packing. And THANK GOD I got balloted for a Flea Market slot at Tanglin Mall on 16 Feb. Apparently, someone has given up his lot and they called me up only a week later after the ballot date to inform me that I had been alloted a lot (Lot 23 to be precise!) in the redraw. Hopefully my bros, my sis-in-laws and myself will be able to sell off some of our stuffs in return for some $$$!

In the meantime, I can only cherish my "limited" time & convenience & freedom here in my soon to be ex home... *sob sob*

Hello 2008!!!

State of Being : Full *Burp*

Met up with the usual kaki for the annual NYE Countdown. Time really flies, can't imagine that we have been keeping up with the 'tradition' for 10 years now. With the exception of 1 year, where majority of the gang are working overseas and the countdown had to be called off, the usual suspects had always turned up for the countdown without fail.

For this year, since CH has graciously invited us to his condo for a housewarming-cum-countdown party, we decided to do pot-luck to save CH & his wife the hassle.

The variety of food was abundant yesterday, ranging from pizzas, curry chicken, shephard's pie, poached prawns to meatballs, "bah kwah" pao (not "kong bah" pao meh??) & poh piah (last count ONLY 2 went ahead to roll their poh piahs though). For deserts, we stuffed ourselves silly with the extremely sinful Awfully Chocolate cake plus some Chips & Dips.

What's the commotion?

Main highlight of the day has got to be the "overly-concentrated" fondue!! Despite the host's second attempt at melting the chocolate (he has done a trial run the night before), the chocolate still somehow turned out as a "thick" chocolate paste. In the end, we had no choice but to resort to mxing some chocolate Swensens Ice Cream, since there weren't any fresh milk, to de-concentrate the paste.

Overall, minus off the "miss(es)" (i.e. the fondue), everyone had lots of fun catching up with one another and I'm pretty sure that those whom were present were sure to have gain some extra pounds from the good spread!!
